Our Staff
All staff members are required to have the following training: Infant, Child & Adult CPR, First Aid, Mandatory Child Abuse Training, Universal Precautions Training, and a minimum of 10 hours of Continuing Education training hours yearly. We also perform state and national criminal background checks on all personnel.
Staff meetings are held to update personnel of any policy changes or to address any issue brought up by staff, parents, or directors.
The teachers at Key West Early Childhood Center have a broad range of education and experience. The preschool teachers in the Statewide Voluntary Preschool Program have four-year teaching degrees with an endorsement in early childhood education. Other teachers may have two-year early childhood degrees along with years of experience.
